Tulungagung Regency is a Javanese community that still holds tightly to traditions and customs that have diverse cultures. Local food culture in Tulungagung Regency is very diverse so it can be a potential to improve toddler nutritional parenting patterns as an effort to prevent and overcome stunting. One form of Tulungagung Regency community culture that contains elements of local wisdom is the ritual tradition surrounding pregnancy until birth or what is commonly called selametan which is a means of education to the community to improve the nutrition of pregnant women and toddlers. Some of these pregnancy ritual traditions include: a three-month event called Bancakan Telonan Takir Plontang and a seven-month event to a thanksgiving event for birth until toddler age. By achieving nutrition in pregnant women to toddlers, it can prevent stunting and malnutrition in children.
