Healthcare workers, particularly pharmacists, must possess the skills to listen to patients, gather information, provide information, understand patients, and educate them. These elements will be achieved if pharmacists are able to communicate effectively. This book discusses the factors that support effective communication in providing drug information when pharmacists prepare and dispense medications to patients. To highlight the importance of this communication process, the outcomes resulting from effective communication in pharmacies are also discussed.
