To date, many infectious diseases have been successfully managed and suppressed to such an extent that they no longer constitute a public health problem. The situation of infectious diseases in various countries in the world can basically be divided into three main groups, namely: (a) the group of countries where the incidence, morbidity and mortality rates of all types of infectious diseases are no longer a public health problem; (b) the group of countries where the incidence of morbidity and mortality rates of several types of infectious diseases have not yet been optimally managed; and (c) the group of countries where the incidence of morbidity and mortality rates are still quite high. In an effort to overcome and manage various types of infectious diseases, the most important thing to know with certainty is the various epidemiological aspects of infectious diseases in general.
