Diagnosis dan tatalaksana Sepuluh Jenis Kanker Terbanyak Di Indonesia

Tambunan, Gani W. - Nama Orang; Maylani Handojo - Nama Orang;

Oncology is a scientific discipline that discusses tumor problems from various aspects, and lately it has been increasingly in demand by the medical community. This is understandable, considering that cancer in Indonesia tends to increase. This tendency is closely related to the increasing ability of medical technology in Indonesia, especially in detecting various types of cancer. In addition, public awareness and ability to check themselves at hospitals or clinics are also increasing. It is estimated that at the beginning of the 21st century, the disease map in Indonesia will approach the disease map in developed countries where cancer is in third place after cardiovascular disease and accidents. In Indonesia, there are ten types of cancers that are most commonly known, namely cervical carcinoma, breast carcinoma, skin carcinoma and melanoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, colon and rectal carcinoma (Colorectal), lung carcinoma, ovarian cancer, thyroid carcinoma and oral cavity carcinoma. The management of this cancer disease is more focused on early recognition. The existence of facilities ranging from simple to sophisticated facilities, allows most of these ten types of cancer to be found at an early stage. Cancer control is not only the responsibility of cancer specialists, but also involves almost all doctors who work in hospitals, clinics and even health centers, while in Indonesia, literature on the field of oncology is still limited. This is what prompted the author to compile the book Diagnosis and Management of the Ten Most Common Types of Cancer in Indonesia. The contents of this book are a combination of the core experiences of various scientific meetings on cancer.
