Pengantar Genetika Medik

Prof. Subowo, dr., MSc., PhD, was born in Probolinggo, East Java, on August 30, 1932. He graduated as a doctor from the Faculty of Medicine, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, in 1961. In 1981, he earned an MSc in Immunology from Amsterdam University, the Netherlands. He then earned a Doctor of Medical Sciences from Kobe University, Japan, in 1986. He began his teaching career at Gadjah Mada University as an assistant in the Histology course, then became a lecturer at Hasanuddin University, Makassar, in the Anatomy course from 1961–1967.

From 1967, he taught Histology at the Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University, Bandung, until his retirement on September 1, 2002. In 1987, he was appointed Professor of Histology, Cell Biology, and Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University, Bandung. Teaching Immunobiology in the Postgraduate Programs of UNPAD and ITB until 2000.

From 2003 to present, he has taught courses in Histology and Cell Biology, and since 2007, he has taught Critical Thinking, Philosophy of Science, Basic Biomedicine, Immunobiology, and Clinical Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, UNJANI, Bandung.

He has written books, in addition to papers and other health articles, including: Cell Biology (1988), General Histology (1992), Neurobiology (1992), Immunobiology (1993), Clinical Immunology (1993), Cell Biology (1995), Cell Biology 5th Edition (2007), General Histology 2nd Edition (2009), Immunobiology 2nd Edition (2009), Clinical Immunology 2nd Edition (2012), and Cell Biology 6th Edition (2011).
