Daftar obat esensial nasional 2002
The Essential Medicines concept is an approach that has proven to be the most useful for providing quality and affordable health services. The concept of essential medicines is realized by preparing the National List of Essential Medicines (DOEN) which selects the medicines needed by considering the ratio of benefit to risk and benefit to cost. DOEN contains the medicines that are most beneficial for health services in terms of quality, safety, benefits and price. The list of essential medicines needs to be evaluated periodically in accordance with developments in medical science, science and technology in the field of medicine, the emergence of new diseases in society and overcoming changes in resistance. During this time, the DOEN was evaluated every 3 (three) years, and was last carried out in 1998. Then, in accordance with the new organizational structure of the Department of Health with its main tasks and functions, this revision became the task of the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical Services and Medical Devices. In the era of regional autonomy, DOEN is very important as a guide to guarantee the availability of medicines for the general public, especially in the current condition of limited funds for medicines. It is hoped that with DOEN 2002 the government's efforts to improve the quality of health services, ensuring the availability of medicines that are more equitable and affordable with guaranteed quality can be realized optimally. Finally, we would like to express our deepest thanks to all parties who have provided assistance in the implementation of the revision and preparation of the 2002 DOEN.
