Nowadays, interest and attention to qualitative research for the health sector is increasing. This is inseparable from the use of qualitative research which is useful for providing understanding and contextually rich data, which can help researchers in the health sector to design comprehensive designs to solve health problems (especially in developing countries).

This book presents the methodology of research in the health sector. Consisting of several chapters, the discussion of this book opens with a discussion of the basic concepts of qualitative research and types of qualitative research. Then continued with a discussion of data collection techniques in qualitative research. Next, in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions are discussed. After that, participatory observation and qualitative data analysis are presented. In closing, it is explained regarding the writing of the final report. So, this book presents everything from how to collect, process, to present data from the results of qualitative research.

This book can be read by students from the Health Sciences Cluster. In addition, it can also be read by lecturers in the health sector or researchers or prospective researchers who want to conduct research in the health sector using a qualitative approach.
