Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja dan Wanita
Adolescence is a period of rapid growth and development, physically, psychologically and intellectually. During this transitional period, it is often adolescent girls who experience disadvantages in the social environment. Adolescent girls' puberty is often covered up on the grounds that it is “embarrassing” to be publicly known. In fact, parents often leave adolescent girls to learn about their reproduction on their own. As a result, these adolescent girls become confused and are at a crossroads in dealing with their changing selves.
On the other hand, the development of social media has made access to information for teenagers no longer limited. One of the things that parents are concerned about is the misuse of technology that results in promiscuity. Out-of-wedlock pregnancies and promiscuous sex are examples of adolescent girls' lack of knowledge about their body authority and reproductive health because they are often considered taboo to discuss with parents, but are easily accessed through the internet.
This book on Adolescent and Women's Reproductive Health can be used as a learning reference for parents, adult women, and adolescents in opening discussions about the growth and development of their reproductive organs. Hopefully, this book can be a new horizon to assist adolescents through their puberty.
