Perawatan Paliatif (Palliative care) : sejarah, filosofi, tujuan, dan posisi tetap komplemen-spiritual
According to the WHO, palliative care is an essential part of integrated, person-centered health care. Alleviating serious health-related suffering, whether physical, psychological, social, or spiritual, is a global ethical responsibility. Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with serious illnesses, such as cancer or heart failure.
Palliative care is intended to enhance a person's current care by focusing on the quality of life for them and their families. It prevents and relieves suffering through early identification, appropriate assessment, and treatment of pain and other problems, whether physical, psychosocial, or spiritual.
This book presents the history of palliative care, its philosophy, goals, and position on complementary-spiritual care. It also discusses its relationship to hospice, a hospital that cares for patients nearing the end of life.
This book is not only important for health science academics (doctors, nurses, and midwives), but also essential reading for practitioners and other health activists, as well as the general public. This book was written to fill a gap in academic literature in this field.
