Antibiotics are usually indicated as prophylaxis in surgical procedures and therapy for various diseases related to bacterial infections, one of which is the bacteria that causes tuberculosis (TB), namely M. Tuberculosis. The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified antituberculosis drugs into five classes with several criteria, including efficacy and chemical characteristics. Drugs commonly prescribed for tuberculosis in the first class include: ethambutol, isoniazid, pyrazinamide, and rifampin.
