In 2000 the number of women over 50 years old and estimated to have entered menopause was 15.5 million people, while the number of men over 55 years old and estimated to have entered andropause was 14.25 million people. In 2020 it is estimated that the number of women living in menopause will be 30.3 million and the number of andropause men will reach 24.7 million. In addition, thanks to development in the health sector, the life expectancy of Indonesian women and men has also increased. On the one hand, we should be happy because the life expectancy of women and men is increasing, but on the other hand, they have to go through old age with various health problems due to the impact of estrogen and androgen hormone deficiencies.
