Tuberkulosis klinis (ed. 2)
This book is a practical handbook for non-specialist doctors and health workers in countries with a high prevalence of TB. They encounter the disease in their daily work. However, it is also useful in countries with a low prevalence of TB, as doctors are less familiar with the disease. However, this book will especially benefit those who have very limited facilities to treat TB. In addition to being written in easy-to-digest language with a vocabulary and index, the book also presents linear images, diagrams, and tables to aid in diagnosis and treatment. With more than 75,000 copies of the first edition, in 16 languages, it has been distributed in 125 countries. However, since the first edition was released in 1992, the HIV and AIDS pandemic has continued to accelerate and is now set to explode in Southeast Asia. Because HIV-positive people are more likely to develop clinical TB when infected with TB germs, and because there is a danger of spreading drug-resistant germs, WHO has officially declared tuberculosis a “Global Emergency”.
