This second edition of the seventh edition of the Integrated Management of Diabetes book is a revision and update of the fifth edition. This book explains everything about diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that will continue to increase in prevalence. In 2003, the prevalence of diabetes in the world was estimated at 194, and will increase to 333 million by 2025 as a consequence of longer life expectancy, a sedentary lifestyle, and changes in the diet of the population. Diabetes mellitus due to the chronic nature of the disease and the fact that it can affect all parts of the body requires a multidisciplinary approach. In this book, the study begins with the increasing trend in the number of people with diabetes, diet and exercise tips for people with diabetes, therapeutic mechanisms for people with diabetes, management of diabetes in children, treatment mechanisms for people with diabetes in health centers, approaches for families with diabetes to the Ministry of Health's policy on diabetes control in Indonesia. This book also examines counseling for diabetic patients when facing diabetes, how they deal with stress and tips on fasting during Ramadan for people with diabetes mellitus.
