Penuntun laboratorium klinik

In 1956 this handbook was born by the Clinical Pathology Section of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, in the form of loose sheets of stenciled paper. Undergoing various changes in its contents, it grew and was transformed three times into a book bound from stencil sheets as well: the last of which was circulated in 1964. Although this manual is based on the method of examination used in the Clinical Pathology Section of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia and the Laboratory of Dr. Cipto Mangun-kusumo Hospital, Jakarta, the author hopes that this book can be used by many clinical laboratories throughout Indonesia. If the wish is achieved or approached, it will open the way to a uniformity in clinical laboratories that has many benefits. The benefits of uniformity have been stated by Njoo Sian Nio and Gandasoebrata in a lecture at the third Course of Refresher and Enhancer of Medical Sciences Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (1965). The author hopes that criticism of the contents of his book will be taken into consideration in improving this guide.
