Microbiology for nurses is organized in a practical and simple form, containing some aspects of the basic principles of microbiology and parasitology. We intend that this book can be used, especially in the Nursing Education environment to support and deepen understanding of Nursing Science. Microbiology means the science of small living things or microorganisms. In 1675 Anthony Van Leuwenhoek invented a microscope that can see microorganisms, then began the development of microbiology and the theory of germs that can cause disease. The purpose and basic principles of medical microbiology are to diagnose, treat and prevent disease. while the morphology of bacteria is divided into three parts, namely bacillus, coccus and spiril. To get to know in general about microbes, it is necessary to know the species, form, how to identify the effects caused to humans, from the fungal group of bacteria, while from the animal and protozoan groups including amoeba. Flaellata, ciliates and the last sporozoa regarding rickettsia and viruses. To require the type of germs by carrying out the work process, including preparing examination materials, conducting seeding, experiments, treatment and conducting microscopic examinations of the results of examinations such as urine, feces, blood and so on.
