Tinjauan Klinis Hasil Pemeriksaan Laboratorium (ed. 11)

The eleventh edition of this book was created within the framework of previous editions, aiming to incorporate changes in Laboratory Medicine and the practice of medicine as a whole. We continue to practice medicine as a whole. We continue to update, expand, and modify elements in this book that are based on our personal experience in the practice of laboratory medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center and at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. Some significant changes to many aspects of laboratory medicine are emphasized in this book. Chapter 1 discusses the point-of-care assay (also called the near-parent assay) and the changes in organ-specific panels and the sequential multichannel analyzer. Chapter 1 also discusses the theoretical background for interpretation of laboratory test results and has been expanded by discussing receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, which are universally important for assessing the diagnostic utility of old versus new procedures. The substantial revision of Part Two, Hematoloi, demonstrates diagnostic and therapeutic advances, especially the new dimensions of molecular assays and flow cytometry.
