Parasitologi Kedokteran (Ed.3)

Parasitology is the study of bodies that live temporarily or permanently in or on the surface of another body with the intention of taking food partly or wholly from that body (parasitos = a body that takes food logos = science) rn In this third edition of the book Parasitology of Medicine, it explains the species of parasites that need to be studied in medical science and emphasized on the situation in Indonesia. For each species, the geographic distribution, various hosts, life cycle, epidemiology and eradication are described. It also briefly explains the relationship between the stage of the parasite and the clinical symptoms it causes in humans, followed by the treatment of the disease and new drugs that are recommended. The content of the book is divided into 5 sections, namely medical helmintology, medical protozoology, medical entomology, medical mycology and immunoparasitology and immunodiagnosis of parasitic diseases. In addition, this book is also accompanied by knowledge obtained from parasitology textbooks published abroad as well as field research experiences conducted by the staff of the Parasitology Section.
