When readers read the title of this book, the first question that will probably arise is "What is Molecular Medicine?" Molecular medicine is the latest study in the field of Medical Science. Simply put, Molecular Medicine can be defined as: the science that studies the molecular basis of various diseases (the molecular basis of diseases). Of course, the definition as written above does not clarify but instead raises a new question, namely what is meant by the molecular basis? To answer this question, readers need to first understand a field of science called Molecular Biology. Molecular Biology is a field of science that studies organisms (living things) at the molecular level. The paradigm (mindset) adopted in Molecular biology is that every organism (including humans) consists of cells and cells consist of a large number of molecules so that both the structure and function shown by an organism, including functions that indicate that the organism is something alive (a living entity), are determined by these molecules.
