This book is a collection of semester-long lectures given by our guest. Professor M. Frenkel to second and third year medical students. at the Faculty of Medicine of the Christian University of Indonesia, Jakarta. In addition, a number of post-graduate lectures were given to members of the Staff of the Internist Department of PGI Tjikini Hospital and the Internist Department of the Teaching Hospital. Faculty of Medicine UKI. The book consists of three parts: a general introduction to disease mechanisms, a systematic survey of diseases of organs and organ systems emphasizing general pathophysiology, and then clinical aspects of these diseases. In the third section, the treatment of a small number of specific diseases is addressed and methods of recording disease histories are given. This book is a collection of lectures for different audiences, meaning that some duplication is inevitable. This should not distract the reader from the 'Placent Repelita Bus'. The organization of the layout is intended to allow the reader to step by step understand the phenomena of the disease rather than provide a complete view of internist medicine. We hope that medical students and doctors will enjoy reading this book.”
