This book contains two terms known in the medical world, namely midwifery and physiological care. Midwifery care is an activity in providing health services to clients who have problems or needs during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, newborns, and family planning. In the scope of biology, the definition of physiology refers to the science that studies the function and work of body parts. If drawn in a broader context, physiology is the study of life processes and functions and their dynamics at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, system, and organism levels. Physiology can be further described as the science of the function of the life of organisms as a whole, their interactions with the environment, their structures, and the dynamics of life processes. Meanwhile, the physiology referred to in this book refers to the physiology of pregnancy. The physiology of pregnancy is the entire process of body function in maintaining the fetus in the womb caused by the fertilization of the egg by the sperm cell, during pregnancy there will be physical and hormonal changes that change drastically. This book explains the role of midwifery care related to the patient's pregnancy. So this book is suitable for readers who are related to the world of health, especially those who are working in related fields.
